As landscape architects, our practice deals primarily with land use. While each application of land use and site planning varies, from the most sensitive natural environment to the most intensely developed urban setting, the design process is resource based.
Each project starts with a series of studies that carefully analyze the opportunities and constraints of the project site. These studies provide the basis for the land plan or design solution. For natural site, the land plan evolves from the analysis of natural factors such as soils, hydrology, and topography. For urban settings, the design solution evolves from the surrounding land use, accessibility and zoning factors.
At Wirth & Associates, we are committed to using a broad interdisciplinary approach. This approach may require collaborating with experts in architecture, engineering, economics and market research and environmental services. We believe our success is based on the ability and desire to provide creative, responsible design solutions that are functional and fiscally sound.
